Faces of Val: Senior Account Manager, Amy Wickliffe.

Meet Amy Wickliffe, our spirited Senior Account Manager from Auckland.

With more than a decade in media, Amy is a core member of the NZ team, bringing valuable industry experience, great energy and plenty of laughs to the office every day.

Introducing Amy, one of the many faces of Val…

Alright, spill the tea: How did you find yourself in the advertising industry, and what’s been the best part of your journey at Val Morgan Cinema so far?

I started off in sales about 15 years ago, working across a range of industries like window furnishings and online courses, before making the move into media, which immediately felt like a much more exciting fit. After 10 years working across the media industry, I’ve really found my home at Val Morgan. Our NZ office has the best view in Auckland and I get to talk about movies all day!

If your morning routine were an Olympic sport, what would your gold medal event be, and how would you describe your winning strategy?

My morning routine would be a duathlon where one sport was getting up and going to the gym and the other is pressing the snooze button. My winning strategy is balance.

If your professional growth had a fragrance, would it be a bold, invigorating scent like fresh coffee beans, a calming aroma like lavender, or something completely unexpected? Justify your choice.

This is a hard question! I think my fragrance would be a blend of ambition, creativity and a little chaos, with notes of rose, vanilla and Coke Zero.

If the mic is being passed to you at karaoke what song are you singing?

TNT – AC/DC

If your Teams background had a mind of its own, what whimsical scene or surreal landscape would it choose during your next virtual meeting?

It would be the Redwoods in Rotorua. My mum lives down there and whenever I visit, I always do the Tokorangi Pa walk which is 15km of beautiful NZ forest.
