The 2026 Oscar nominations have just rewritten history.

After weeks of Hollywood heavyweights going head-to-head, awards season’s biggest moment has arrived. The nominations for the 2026 Oscars are officially in, shining a spotlight on the films, performances and creative forces that have defined the past year on screen.

Leading the charge is Sinners, which dominates the field with a record-breaking 16 nominations, surpassing the long-standing benchmark previously held by All About Eve (1950), Titanic (1997) and La La Land (2016). Close behind is One Battle After Another with 13 nominations, while Marty Supreme, Frankenstein and Sentimental Value have each scored nine. Rounding out the top contenders is Hamnet with eight nominations, setting the stage for one of the most competitive Oscar races in recent memory.

The 98th Oscars ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on Sunday March 15.
